I am really excited. I went to a meeting the other day, and there were people of all ages. It was interesting to see all these people living abroad who are still so interested in the political scene. Apparently there are 2500 registered Democrats in Spain, and 1000 of them are in Madrid. Good place to be I guess! The meeting was held in an Irish bar (of course) with plenty of beer to go around. I also was able to file a backup for an absentee ballot. I mean, it is just BACKUP for the one that is probably still sitting on our counter Mom!
The group will be having more activities these upcoming weeks, including broadcasts of the debates in a big auditorium, and an Election Day party!
