Pictionary!

Look, I'm not saying I'm an artist.

But this is what I AM capable of drawing:

Flowers

My name in bubble letters

A 3-D figure

More different variations of bubble letters.

Buildings/Scenery/Occasionally parts of the body (however I have been unable as of late to draw a nose or ear)

Anyways, so today we were playing Pictionary in my 6th grade class. A sure thing to pass the time in an enjoyable manner.

The kids are picking their own things to draw, and there is a variation from Dinosaur to Blackboard to Ronaldo (a soccer player) to a turtle.

There were also several sports stars, one of them being a tennis player. However, the student remembered to draw the ball dropping out of the player's hand, but failed to draw the racket. All the students started guessing baseball. They clearly haven't seen the game. Dropping the ball on the ground is never intentional.

There was also a Rhino that was COMPLETELY unrecognizable. It's "horns" were coming out of its eyes.

Another artist drew Hannah Montana. Hannah being a questionable face with droopy "hair" The guesses went in a rather interesting direction:

DOG- BOB MARLEY- HANNAH MONTANA!

Don't ask.

Ronaldo was the most cubist of the group.

Ronaldo had a very small circular head. His eyes were big dots, his nose was a triangle. His mouth was an O.

His "body" was a square, his arms were elongated rectangles. His "hands" consisted of 5 ovals joined at the center. Both of his "hands" were larger than his head. His legs were thin, grooved rectangles. His shoes were squares. Apparently he doesn't wear cleats.

While for most of the other drawings, the students were at least making guesses, they were silent on this occasion.

One student guessed a box.

Close enough.

Once the student drew a soccer ball and wrote letters on Ronaldo's box (ahem shirt) the students were able to figure out what he was going for. It took the most time out of the entire class.

Another favorite of mine was a student who decided to draw their teacher from last year.

The first part of the drawing were the "trousers"

A student waved his hand around in the air (while the artist was clearly still drawing) and yelled:

TROUSERS!!

Silence...... I then filled the class in. Yes those are indeed trousers, but no, he is NOT finished drawing.

The drawing continues.

He then had most of the body finished (it actually resembled a human), complete with shoes, "trousers" and a shirt.

At this point, many students were waving their hands in the air. Keep in mind this mystery figure still does not have a head.

The artist stopped and called on the students. There were several guesses as to the clothing items before they progressed to guessing actual people. After several different guesses ranging from several actors to Esponja Bob, a student finally guessed:

LEANDRO! (Happy Birthday teacher from last year)

Yes! But Leandro does not have a head..

However, the students did not seem to mind. Nor did they seem concerned that Leandro did not have a head. We moved on.

But poor Leandro, he is still out there somewhere, wandering around without a head.
